Magwa had mentioned that there weren't any slugs or snails in her garden yet refused SueA's kind offer to send her some - despite knowing that the hedgehogs in her garden needed them for food. Toonmaker, kind to hedgehogs to the extent of providing rubber rings and arm bands to the ones in her field, pleaded with Magwa to reconsider while Opal defended the rights of a gardener to exclude such creatures.
